The highest heights

Kite Fest 2Edmond Public Schools bus driver, Mide DeBell, works on one of his many kites Saturday at the Kite Festival held at Mitch Park. DeBell has been a kite enthusiest for more than 40 years and started the Oklahoma Kiters in 1989.

Another Saturday. Another day of work. My fourth week of working at the Sun and only one did I have the weekend off. This is not a complaint, not by a long shot. Each weekend has provided for the most interesting subject matter it seems. My first was the Fishing Derby, the next was on location at a movie set. My weekend off, I hung out in Ada and chased frogs.

Later today, I will be shooting the QB Challenge. I’ll figure out exactly what that means when I get there, but it seems to be a camp for quarterbacks where they compete in different types of drills. I picture the drills to be like the ones on EA Sports NCAA Football, except with better graphics.

I’ll likely post a shot from that tomorrow because tomorrow I am covering Taste of Edmond. Basically, a bunch of restaurants bring samples for people to try. It will be around 100 degrees and the lines will be rediculously long. I think it’s safe to say a photo of quarterbacks will be more interesting.

Stay tuned.
