Chevy turnover

No luck truckAn Oklahoma Higway Patrol trooper responds to the scene of a one-car accident on Broadway north of Edmond Wednesday afternoon. The driver, Rodriguez Ocampo, overturned his Chevrolet pickup, but walked away with only a cut lip.

Day 3 was mostly boring as fas as what photos I took. I did a couple of portraits, one with the manager of the Guthrie-Edmond Regioinal Airport, and another with the owner and the general manager of Reynolds Ford. Both assignments were fun. I got to take a tour of Reynolds new building and I must say, it was sweet. At Geoport, I saw a bunch of planes, and that’s just cool.

But portraits are not my favorite thing to do. That’s why I don’t do senior portraits and make a bunch of money. I admire the people that do them well, but it’s just not for me.

I like excitement. I like to capture what is already there. I like to tell stories.

So, on my way home to the Griffin residence, I saw a truck on the side of the road in the ditch. Something wasn’t quite right about this particular truck. I noticed smoke coming up, so I immediately stopped to check on the passengers. When I got out, I noticed a car seat among the wreckage. I got worried. I then found the driver who wanted to appear just fine and act like everything was normal. He was bleeding profusely from the lip and didn’t exactly seem right in the head.

He gathered a couple of his pals who brought a front loader and some chains. Their plan was to flip the truck back over and drive away.

After I found that the driver was OK physically, I grabbed my camera.
